Reiki Helping with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) / ME

There has been a lot written about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and how more and more people have been turning to a non-medical approach as part of a holistic treatment. Reiki’s ability to help relax and address the symptoms of anxiety along with the physical discomfort, ideally places Reiki at the forefront of this holistic approach to CFS treatment.

What is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) / ME

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a chronic health disorder that is typified by symptoms of extreme fatigue or tiredness that persists even with rest and that can't be supported by any underlying medical condition. CFS is also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), which is actually more well-known than CFS itself.

How does Reiki Help with CFS?

Some of the most common symptoms for CFS include sleep disruption, muscle pain, headaches and fatigue. Reiki is an ideal support for a patient suffering these symptoms as the Reiki sessions help to relax the body and destress the emotions. Reiki has a gentle, non-medical and non-evasive support for CFS suffers which helps to compliment other treatments.

Reiki is well known to aid those that have insomnia. With disrupted sleep being a key symptom of CFS, reiki sessions can be incorporated into the treatment to help the patient gain a more restful night’s sleep, thus supporting their recovery. How to prepare for a CFS Reiki Treatment session

Preparing well for you Reiki sessions will help to ensure you will get the most benefit from it. When you book your Reiki session, make sure the timing and day of the session best fits your normal routine.

Give yourself plenty of time to travel to my London Reiki Treatment Room so you are not feeling under pressure to move quickly or to have the added stress of thinking you will be late.

In order to ensure you’re comfortable during your reiki session, it is advisable to wear clothes that are not constrictive in anyway so that you can feel the benefits of the relaxation that the Reiki session can bring you.

Once your Reiki session has finished, it is a good idea to have sometime afterwards where you can continue with your relaxation by not involving yourself in any stressful activities or anything that will physically tire you out.
