Reiki helping with Insomnia

Insomnia and sleep disruptions are more common than you may think. Often sufferers will turn to medication as a solution, but the Reiki sessions I offer from my London Reiki treatment room, can help to reduce the stress and anxiety and so aiding sleep.

What can cause Insomnia?

There are a wide range of reasons that can cause someone to suffer from insomnia, or to have severe sleep disruption. Many can be as simple as a result of lifestyle, for example the food or drink you consume in the evening before bed, through to medical conditions such as chronic pain. In addition to these reasons, others could be:

  • Some types of medicines
  • Poor sleeping habits, such as having no bedtime routine
  • Poor sleeping environment such as the room being too light, temperature or uncomfortable bed
  • High stress levels and worry, such as work, money or family

Any of these reasons could impact on you getting a good night’s sleep.

What can be the results of lack of sleep?

Regularly having too little sleep can have a huge impact on your health and happiness.  The symptoms can include:

  • Mood Changes
  • Irritability
  • Fatigue
  • Forgetfulness
  • Clumsy
  • Unmotivated
  • Depression
  • Anxiety

Having these traits could mean that you are not getting enough sufficient quality sleep and this will have a detrimental effect on your daily life.
